SDORC - Ocotillo Wells SVRA



The Ocotillo Wells State Vehicular Recreation Area is located just east of Anza Borrego Desert State Park, off State Highway 78 and near the town of Ocotillo Wells. This SVRA has a large variety of trails and terrain ranging from large sand areas like Blow Sand Hill and Devil's Slide to flat desert stretches. All types of OHVs are allowed in the park, which has 42,000 acres with more being added. There are many interesting sites within the park and all are accessible by most types of OHVs. Has, food, and vehicle repairs are available in the town of Ocotillo Wells.

Campsites with shade ramadas, fire rings, and vault toilets are available, as well as a dump station. For the less adventurous, comfortable accomodations are available at Desert Ironwoods Motel and RV park.

Elevation ranges from below sea level to 400 feet. Temperatures are desert extremes - highs can be above 110 degrees during summer and lows can be below freezing during winter. Come prepared and be sure to bring plenty of water!
