SDORC's 2007/08 Raffle Car & Trailer

This year's raffle car is bound to catch everyone's eye. Ed Zimmerman, owner of PSD Motorsports in Spring Valley, California, stepped this car up a notch. SDORC's Pre-Runner has 21 inches of wheel travel and CAD engineered suspension with boxed lower arms. This all tops out at about 2800 lbs. Wheelbase is 126", track width 91", overall length 15.5 ft and height is 6.5 ft with the light bar.

SDORC is extremely proud to have our 2008 CARB Certified LS-2 Corvette engine from Turn Key Engine Supply. They have generously donated for a third year in a row. This LS-2 package will boast a 6.0L V-8, 510 H.P with 480 ft Lbs torque and a rev limit of 6800 rpm! One of my favorite magazine editors recently coined a phrase stating that's some "sand-slinging horsepower!" This package also provides a "sequential fuel injection" fuel system. The specialized LS-2 package list continues on and on.

Mendeola Transaxles donated their most popular quality gearbox, the "S4" (sequentially-shifted four-speed) transaxle kit.

Weddle Industries jumped in with this build by providing all of the gears. Bringing this assembly together was McDowell Performance.

Fox Racing Shox set this car up for an extraordinary ride using their black anodized 2.5 bypass shocks (front) and 3.0 bypass shocks (rear). Walker Evans Racing is showing off their newly designed wheels with beadlocks. Gear One came in with 934 Center Hubs, axles, CV's, boots, flanges and more.

A.P.E. Wraps created the awesome graphics and vinyl wrap. ECP Powdercoating coordinated all of our colors. MasterCraft matched the combination with their well-known quality race seats and restraints. Howe Performance provided their 2.5 Power Rack setup. Of course the build had to start with the 4130 chromoly by Competitive Metals.

Fiber-Tech is our backbone with every build. Again we have gauges and switches. Lazer Star completely took over with HID Lights. Bengels tilt steering added a great custom look. BTI doubled their donation. Racer X Motorsports donated a race radio, intercom and parker pumper. Prowire Motorsport Electrics did the first class wiring. T2K Trailers added their SuperLiner on the inside of the panels.

Great work by Precision Waterjetting, DMV services by Desert Off-Road Registration, custom sponsor flags by Sandsational Gear & Apparel and Toy Box Covers.com keeps everything clean and waterproof. T2K Trailers have been extraordinarily generous with all of their help by sponsoring a custom flat bed trailer each year. They understand what the public is asking for and can get very creative with their custom designs. We can't do the raffles without them. T2K's sponsors are Global Direct Components and West Coast Steel.

This complete package is provided by top dynamic off-road businesses that want the opportunity to showcase their products, along with supporting SDORC. Because of their donations, SDORC can continue to generate funds to pay the monthly fee to our off-road attorney and our lobbyist.

Each year seems to set its own pace no matter how hard one tries to guide it. Computer meltdowns have a way of adding that most severe element of panic, when everything must run smoothly. And now, SDORC has another impressive raffle that will again prevail.

Raffle tickets are $20 each or six for $100. That's for both, car with trailer! Must be 18 to enter and win. SDORC has the only raffle that you can win both, a Pre-Runner and a trailer with one winning ticket. Also our raffle is only eight months long.
