LETTERS NEEDED!
If you are in favor of a multi-use, off-road park in Lakeside, and you
live in one or more of the following districts, you need to write to
your representative(s) immediately (If you live in the east county you
are probably in all three).

These representatives are receiving many letters in opposition to the
proposed park. They need to hear from those in favor as well.
Use your own words - handwritten (if legible) is best. Have your
children write letters.
If you are a business owner please submit your letter on your company
letterhead.
Some of the points you might want to make:
- There are over 50,000 registered off-highway vehicles in San Diego
County. Owners of these vehicles have been paying into a special trust
fund for years to purchase an OHV park, the money is available and none
of it will come from the general tax fund.
- This will be a multi-use park of considerable benefit to many
segments of the community - especially young people - not just
off-roaders.
- This proposal already has the support of the Lakeside and Santee
Chambers of Commerce, the Lakeside Community Planning Group, and
several business and community leaders.
- You understand that this property must undergo the stringent
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) process, during which
public hearings will be held and all concerns will be addressed, before
it can be made into a park.
